Welcome to Heart Threads

I hope that this will be a homey blog, a restful place where I can reflect and write about the things that are foremost on my mind: God, family and friends, a love for learning, and art - especially fiber art.  I hope that you will feel free to pull up a chair, grab a hot cup of great coffee and join me as I describe, what I think is a hopeful and joyful journey.

 

There are some things you should probably know up front.


First, I am not a ranter.  I do not like to rant, nor do I enjoy being ranted at. It just doesn't suit my personality, so please don't bother. I am all for deep and meaningful discussions about important matters provided that they are housed in a heart that is humble and gracious.

Second, I don't like the word blog. It sounds too much like blah, which would be boring, or log, which would be nothing more than an itemized list. The word "blog" also vaguely reminds me of the word "boogers" and, I must say, that connection did not make bloggering particularly more palatable. I probably won't use the word much.

And, finally, I do not understand html. I cannot imagine that I ever will. It amazes me that all of the people who do this kind of "online journaling" know it so well. What I want to know is, where did you all get the time to learn html and who taught you this valuable life skill? I fear a slow learning curve in this area for myself, so I apologize in advance for what appears as improper editing, poor link management, and graphic slothfulness.
